摘要: IEEE 802.11 DCF shows the inefficient throughput performance, due to large backoff and collision overheads. We propose Block-poll coordination function (BCF) reduce back-off overheads, thus increasing aggregate throughput. By introducing a new frame which includes polling bitmap, each station can decide its transmission order, so that channel access emulates TDMA. In addition, by dividing bitmap into several chunks transmitting only changed chunks, overhead be reduced. The simulation analysis results show proposed protocol achieves higher than DCF, while reducing average delay jitter values.
