摘要: Abstract Taiwan has developed its fisheries since the 1950s and become one of major fishing nations in high seas. Facing overcapacity strong criticism by related Regional Fisheries Management Organizations, did not only formulate lots regulations to limit capacity, but also spent around US$350 million from 1991 2008 scrap 30% capacity large scale longline vessels 18% coastal vessels. This study provides insight that efficient use budget communication with fisherman, coping comprehensive stock assessment, would be key issues establishing a successful management.
