摘要: Abstract The gelation ability of a series partially fluorinated N -benzoyl- N′ -aryl thiourea derivatives (BTUs) newly designed and synthesized was examined in six different alcohols (ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, 1-octanol 1-decanol). After general assessment through the test-tube inversion method polarizing optical light microscopy, viscoelasticity two types decanol-BTU systems ( 1a 1b ) investigated via dynamic rheology 15–70 °C temperature range 0.25–100 Hz frequency domain. A complex behavior evidenced for each these mixtures, mainly due to completely morphologies resulted during gel formation clearly illustrated trough scanning electron microscopy (SEM), even though structural difference between BTUs is minor (longer alkyl chain latter). To explain how gelator molecules self-assembly gellify decanol, mechanism has been proposed relied on their rheological behavior, one hand, findings revealed by differential calorimetry (DSC), (POM), infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR - ATR), powder X-ray scattering (XRD) SEM, other hand.
