摘要: Abstract A set of analytical instruments, consisting a gas chromatograph for water and carbon dioxide, an alpha scintillation counter to measure radon temperature sensor, was especially designed constructed monitor volcanic gases successfully operated over weeks in the high fumaroles at summit Merapi Volcano, Indonesia. The unit runs automatically is remote controlled through radio-link. Over period several weeks, concentrations H 2 O CO were measured every 35 min Rn activity monitored about 90-min intervals. fumarole temperatures continuously recorded minute from July 2000 end January 2001. composition emitted Volcano show significant variations. Due regular stronger degassing magma, increase periodically while decrease. On other hand, rises with increasing atmospheric pressure higher concentrations. After intensive rainfall, infiltration cold meteoric into edifice possibly causes concentration vapour decrease fumarole. Several seismic events correlate temperature.
