摘要: Complexities in making effective and timely business decisions highly competitive markets have driven many organisations to adopt data-driven, decision-making processes using Business Intelligence (BI) applications. Despite these applications being suited for use most organisations regardless of size, only larger enterprises have reached a stage maturity BI use, while small medium-sized (SMEs) still lag behind. Although there is rich body literature on information technology (IT) adoption implementation, literature relating BI adoption, especially the SME context, remains limited. This study addresses the lack research framework examining current state the identification factors influencing SMEs. To address this research gap support rate SMEs, develops comprehensive research categorising SMEs into different levels explores the enabling that influence In order classify into different levels, this applies evolution model (IEM) used widely by practitioners evaluate organisations. investigating factors involved decisions, employs multiple-perspective based on three models, including diffusion innovation (DOI) theory, organisation-environment (TOE) model, systems small business. The developed contains eleven enabling covering four characteristics: technological innovation, environment, organisation, owner-managers.
