Adsorption of radioactive iodide by natural zeolites

摘要: Two natural zeolites from Iranian deposits (clinoptilolite and natrolite) were characterized their ability for adsorption of iodide nuclear wastewaters was evaluated. The behavior studied on modified by g-spectrometry using 131I as radiotracer. Adsorption isotherms distribution coefficient (Kd) measured. results showed that clinoptilolite is a more promising zeolite removal compared to natrolite. Furthermore, the higher in silver, lead thallium forms, whereas lowest desorption observed zeolite.
