摘要: Cardiac responses during one hour exposures to three stressful experimental conditions were compared among juvenile females of species the genus Macaca (M. mulatta, M. radiata, and fascicularis). fascicularis showed highest overall heart rate, mulatta lowest, in all conditions. The principal difference between was pattern change rate over test sessions. Heart declined for first two (home cage novel environment), most rapid slowest fascicularis. In third condition (physical restraint), each a distinct temporal pattern. increased fascicularis, rapidly then gradually mulatta. Individual differences tended be consistent within across Correlations behavioral measures somatic activity generally modest. results are accord with other physiological obtained same subjects, suggest that environmental stimuli reflect fundamental aspects temperament may vary substantially even closely related species. © 1994 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
