摘要: .  1. The possibility that the duration of soldier instar could be extended over course galling season was examined in Pemphigus spyrothecae Passerini (Hemiptera: Aphididae). In this species, individuals one morph dimorphic first are non-sterile specialised defenders known as soldiers. 2. face a declining birth rate, proportion first-instar soldiers to non-soldiers found increase. This provides strong evidence extension time. 3. Instar mechanism for post-natal investment and allows with insufficient time mature remain defensive stage so they may continue make an indirect contribution their clone's reproductive success.
