摘要: Abstract The relative effectiveness of normal and modified jackdaw distress calls for inducing avoidance/escape responses was assessed compared using an avoidance conditioning technique with six jackdaws. Conditioning to high-fidelity (HF1) took place over three consecutive daily sessions followed by two extinction. same procedure again used when the birds were presented plus background noise (DCN), (HF2), minus transients (DC-T). There a significant improvement in performance HF2 HF1. Performances DCN DC-T significantly worse than those HF2, but not different from
