摘要: The conventional procedure of microhardness testing consists in applying a fixed load on an indentor and measuring the square indent under microscope. method kinetic (registration depth penetration as function load) reveals new features mechanical characteristics surface brittle materials. investigated sialon-based ceramics demonstrate unrelaxed hardness from 5–13 GPa elastic relaxation up to 60%–63%. Analysis layers was made ranks Meyer's equation. value coefficient, N (Meyer's index), best materials found be 2, varying 0.92–2.10.
