摘要: This research had two aims. Firstly, to examine availability of emotional support in chat rooms, and secondly, investigate openness dishonesty rooms. Three hundred twenty respondents (160 women 160 men) filled out the ‘Chat Room Survey’. It was found that people who spend more time rooms were likely be open about themselves, receive support, give support. Women than men Men lie, lie their socio-economic status. In contrast, for safety reasons. study challenges some past speculations online relationships, argues future must consider demographic details when examining interactions on Internet.
