摘要: This contribution addresses the hygroscopic properties of orange pulp and peel (OPP), an agro-industrial by-product used for pectinase phytase production by solid-state fermentation (SSF). Experiments were carried out using static gravimetric method modified Halsey model best fitted to experimental data. Bates Watts curvature measurements, Box parameter bias estimation residual analysis performed in order validate estimated parameters. Desorption experiments also results showed that drying took place even at high air relative humidity. The presented are fundamental water transfer modeling SSF fixed bed bioreactors. Practical Applications The current work OPP, a solid waste rich pectin, which can be as substrate synthesis pectinases phytases. Thermal sorption isotherms (TSI) desorption kinetics (WDK) investigated, both key information required process, either on simulation or laboratory. Usually, moisture content phase is far above its equilibrium content, since microbial metabolism strongly affected knowledge TSI WDK mandatory. Experimental was gathered nonlinear models applied special care taken estimation, applying specific tools assess nonlinearity problems. therefore possesses significant new information, particularly interesting engineers dealing with design scaling-up bioreactors regression estimation.
