摘要: The aim of the study was to test hypothesis that magnetic resonance (MR) imaging-guided and -monitored noninvasive ultrasonic surgery can be performed in highly perfused tissues from outside body. A simulation evaluate optimal sonication parameters. An MR-compatible positioning device then used manipulate a focused ultrasound transducer an MR imager, which sonicate kidneys five rabbits at various power levels different durations. Temperature elevation during monitored with T1-weighted spoiled gradient-echo sequence. demonstrated sharply relatively short times (30 seconds or less) are necessary prevent damage overlying skin muscle tissue, have much lower blood perfusion rate than kidney. experiments showed imaging sequence sensitive enough show temperature sonication, thereby indicating location beam focus. Histologic evaluations kidney necrosis could consistently induced without muscle. such as renal cortex coagulated body guide monitor this surgery.
