摘要: To determine the effects of interferon treatment, we studied 77 Japanese patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and normal alanine aminotransferase (ALT). Of patients, 37 were given natural interferon-alpha for 24 weeks, 40 not acted as controls. Serum samples tested HCV RNA genotypes by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). levels measured competitive PCR. treated 11 (29.7%) had sustained elimination throughout a six-month follow-up, while was eliminated in any untreated patients. At months, number elevated ALT significantly different between (13.5%) (15%). Interferon eliminates without severe side effects. The history should be clarified so that treatment regimen can tailored to needs each patient.
