摘要: Carotenoid biosynthesis and its regulation during tomato fruit development ripening is a complex process that occurs alongside the differentiation of chloroplasts into chromoplasts changes to organoleptic properties fruit. Unusually for plants, ripe accumulates large amounts lycopene, as pattern gene expression found in green ripening. Although control thought be main regulatory mechanism these alterations carotenoids, post-transcriptional has also been reported, including feedback inhibition. The use genetic manipulation carotenogenesis used primarily biotechnological reasons, but it facilitated investigations mechanisms, well effects such perturbations on other isoprenoids gibberellins, tocopherols sterols.
