摘要: Because of the proposed importance mitochondrial cytochrome C oxidase (COX) decrease in Alzheimer's disease (AD) , protective effect Shenwu capsule on deficiency model rats and its pharmacological mechanism were investigated present study. Rats administered with azide at 1 mg . kg-1 h-1 subcutaneously via an Alzet minipump for 30 days. Tweny-four hours after operation, intragastrically by dose 0. 45, 9 1. 8 g d-1 one month. Then learning-memory ability was determined watermaze test passive avoidance tests. The activity choline-acetyl-transfertase(ChAT) acetylcholinesterase (AChE) hippocampus cortex measured radiochemical method hydroxylamine colorimetry separately. M-cholinergic receptor binding (M-binding) assayed radio binding. Chronic infusion sodium induced rats. Both ChAT M-binding decreased rats, however, AChE increased not affected cortex. As result, cholinergic function brain significantly improved learning memory may be related brain: treated groups compared group; returned to normal. Mitochondria, especially oxidase, play key role early event AD. Chronic, partial vivo inhibition provides a suitable mimicking several aspects indicate effectiveness AD-like so it would applied treatment
