摘要: Objectives: To undertake a systematic review to obtain estimates of genital Chlamydia trachomatis prevalence in various populations the United Kingdom and Ireland; determine which have highest rates infection; explore most important determinants infection. Methods: Electronic databases were searched using keywords "chlamydia" "England," "Wales," "UK," "Scotland," "Ireland," or "Britain." Additional unpublished data references solicited from experts. Studies included analysis if C was reported, they met inclusion criteria. Nine variables identified as potentially descriptors chlamydia extracted each study analysed logistic regression models. Only studies reporting female models, because there few males. Results: 357 search methods, 90 criteria, 19 contributed final model. The influential on age setting population tested. In general practice surgeries, under 20 year old group had an estimated 8.1% (95% CI 6.5 9.9), 20–24 olds 5.2% 4.3 6.3), 25–29 2.6% 2.0 3.3), decreasing 1.4% 1.0 1.9) those aged over 30 years. Overall, healthcare settings higher than based studies. For example, among olds, 17.3% 13.6 21.8) genitourinary medicine clinics, 12.6% 6.4 23.2) antenatal 12.3% 9.8 15.3) termination pregnancy 10.7% 8.3 13.8) youth 10.0% 8.7 11.5) family planning 9.9) practice, compared 5.0% 3.2 7.6) type test, specimen used, date, location test not strongly associated with prevalence. Conclusion: by model may be used inform screening strategies. revealed much heterogeneity identified, but clear patterns It also indicated gaps knowledge about certain subgroups such men population.
