摘要: Whitespotted conger Conger myriaster is a commercially important species in the seas around China, Korea and Japan. The coastal waters of China serve as an feeding ground for congers, but spatio-temporal variations fishery biological characteristics population have been rarely evaluated less well understood this area. We studied growth, spawning C. on basis samples collected from October 2016 to April 2017 Yellow Sea East Sea. A total 529 specimens were collected, with ages ranging 1 6 years length 132 mm 834 mm. parameters von Bertalanffy growth equation L∞ k 026 0.226 a−1, respectively; sex ratio was 88:0 (female: male) 2.67:1 South Sea; development stage ovary ranged peri-nucleolus secondary yolk globule stage, testis two males at mid-meiotic stage; Crustacean major prey small length, food source shift fish somatic growth. results showed substantial differences previous studies Japan Korean waters, 1980s, suggesting potential spatiotemporal changes myriaster. This study may improve current understanding biology
