摘要: This paper investigates methodologies for the utilization of modular multilevel HVDC transmission (MMC-HVDC) primary frequency control. In contrast to conventionally used average voltage source converter (VSC) models support system studies, advanced MMC provide a different dynamic behaviour due their decoupled ac and dc current Following underlying grid models, four methods by MMCs are presented in this paper. The individual control designs differ required input signals, controller characteristics terms proportional or PI structures potential applications with respect properties. To prove overall functionality highlight differences respective responses as well recovered steady-state conditions after occuring active power imbalances, comparison using numerical simulations is carried out point-to-point MMC-HVDC connecting two non-synchronous areas.
