摘要: Abstract qPODs (Portable Olfactive Devices, Curion) are novel olfactory delivery systems which allow for sampling of a wide variety stimulus types. Participants evaluate odors by opening port at the top qPOD and controlled air stream. Though they often used in marketing studies, their potential use empirical research has yet to be investigated. We asked participants smell citral, citronellol, geraniol, PEA, nonalactone, vanillin delivered via traditional sniff jars, compared both hedonic emotional responses. Across four sessions, 31 evaluated pleasantness intensity each odor jars. Their reactions were captured with PANAS (Positive And Negative Affect Schedule) beginning testing session, then again after exposure odor.
