In vivo study of propolis supplementation effects on antioxidative status and red blood cells

摘要: In vivo study has been conducted on 47 healthy women and men in order to investigate whether daily intake of powdered propolis extract during 30 days any influence the following blood parameters: activity superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase catalase, concentration plasma malondialdehyde, total cholesterol, low- high-density lipoprotein triglycerides, glucose, uric acid, ferritin transferrin, together with routine red cell parameters. The effect seems be time gender related. For test group after initial 15 treatment, 23.2% (p=0.005) decrease malondialdehyde was observed.
