摘要: Abstract Background An association between inflammation and behavioral domains of mental disorders is growing interest. Recent studies reported an aggression inflammation. In this study, we investigated the aggressive behavior inflammatory markers in schizophrenia inpatients. Methods Adult inpatients without affective symptoms ( n =213) were retrospectively identified categorized according to their C-reactive protein measurement at admission as either elevated (CRP>1mg/dL; =57) or normal (CRP =156). The following indicators compared: PANSS excitement component (PANSS-EC), restraints suicidal during hospitalization. Univariate comparisons CRP levels performed multivariate analysis was conducted control for relevant covariates. Results significantly correlated with other laboratory indicating increased including leukocyte count neutrophil lymphocyte ratio r =0.387, P =0.356, 2 =5.22, P=0.031) PANSS-EC score (U=5410.5, =0.012). Elevated not associated behavior. Multivariate revealed that higher after controlling covariates age, sex, BMI smoking. Conclusion This study a potential biological correlate (inflammation) specific endophenotype (aggression)
