摘要: Background Long-term outcomes of revision dacryocystorhinostomy are less known. The aim this study was to assess the long-term powered endoscopic (DCR). Methods Retrospective review all consecutive DCRs performed over a period 10 years from 2003 2012 were included. All patients completed minimum 12 months follow-up following stent removal. Patient records reviewed for demographic data, type past surgery, causes failure, clinical and surgical profiles, adjunctive procedures, complications, success rates at last follow-up. Results Twenty-three on 18 who had failed primary DCR. mean age surgery 61 (range, 28–84 years). presented with epiphora. Nearly 67% (66.7%; 12/18) 33.3% (6/18) external DCRs. most common cause failure cicatricial closure ostium in 55.5% (10/18) cases. Over 44% (44.4%; 8/18) underwent endonasal procedures time 26.4 12–66 months). A complication granuloma 1 patient noted, which successfully managed. At follow-up, anatomical achieved 91.3% cases functional 86.9%. Conclusion Powered DCR is suitable option revising offers good results. Meticulous evaluation identify causative factors addressing them crucial successful outcomes.
