摘要: The effect of sequential exposure to ozone followed by monochloramine on inactivation Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts suspended in untreated natural surface water from two different sources was studied bench-scale batch reactors. Animal infectivity using neonatal CD-1 mice used measure oocyst inactivation. A statistically significant synergistic measured both samples studied. magnitude the with lower turbidity, colour, and organic carbon concentration comparable that previously reported for buffered de-ionized but reduced considerably higher colour concentration. Synergy increased initial pH degree pre-treatment independent temperature. For treatment plants adequate disinfectant contact times, may be a practical means achieving additional C. inactivation, however, influence quality characteristics should considered.
