摘要: Abdominal and pelvic procedures are characterized by a wide range of pathological processes which have their unique preoperative considerations, intraoperative management issues, postoperative pain control techniques, as well special monitoring requirements (intraoperative or postoperative). Also typical these is the age weight variation ranges from extreme prematurity with very low birth in neonates to near adult population who may be morbidly obese. Adding this, changing physiology, disease-specific possible associated syndromes, challenging clinical practice pediatric anesthesiologists involved such becomes evident. In this context, keeping flexible varied approach, adapted settings abdominal procedures, more important than rigid specific recipe. This chapter will explore some common preoperative, considerations for need an procedure.
