摘要: A sodium alginate dense membrane was prepared for water-selective separation by pervaporation (PV). In this study, alcohols and other organic liquids such as THF, 1,4-dioxane, acetone were dehydrated through a made of polyelectrolyte. By changing the operating conditions, including feed concentration temperature, PV characteristics investigated in detail. The results demonstrate that an exceptional material with large values both flux selectivity. Furthermore, mechanism elucidated making investigation into solution–diffusion behaviors penetrants. It found solution process makes much more contribution on permselectivity than does diffusion step. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
