摘要: Background Generalized discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) is an autoimmune skin disease variant rarely reported in dogs. The antimalarial immunomodulator hydroxychloroquine has been suggested as maintenance therapy for generalized DLE one dog, but several recurrences were noted the 1 year follow-up of that patient. Hypothesis/Objective To describe effective treatment with ciclosporin dog. Animal A 6-year-old, castrated male crossbred dog was presented pruritic, well-demarcated annular to polycyclic, hyperpigmented plaques marginal erythema on dorsal head, neck, trunk and medial extremities; these had nonresponsive doxycycline niacinamide. Methods Investigation included complete blood count, serum chemistry profile, urinalysis, antinuclear antibody test, histopathological examination direct immunofluorescence testing biopsies. Results The presence lymphocyte-rich interface dermatitis histology, together chronic recurrent plaques, consistent diagnosis a DLE. absence systemic signs unremarkable laboratory tests excluded concurrent erythematosus. Treatment initiated oral dexamethasone ciclosporin. After 1 month, discontinued ketoconazole added therapeutic regimen. Four months later, pruritus resolved, most lesions becoming impalpable.
