摘要: The proliferating numbers of a new population urban poor in the Western world—who I call here nouveau poor—is phenomenon equally (if not more) significant as emergence Indignados and Occupy movements, calls for urgent attention from part critical studies. This forces us to re-evaluate analytical categories within which we study poverty (gender, age, ethnicity, marginality, etc.) prompts focus on commonality, rather than difference, when it comes collectively reclaiming ‘right city’.
