摘要: We have employed a quartz crystal microbalance technique to measure the friction associated with sliding of solid nitrogen along lead surface, above and below lead's superconducting transition temperature. The is observed drop abruptly at as substrate enters state. observation signifies new phenomenon, most likely attributable electronic contributions friction. While such been discussed debated theoretically for number years, they heretofore not in any direct experimental fashion.
