摘要: Cilia-Associated Respiratory (CAR) bacillus is a filamentous bacterium that colonizes the ciliated epithelium of respiratory tract many animal species and has been associated with chronic inflammatory lesions in naturally experimentally infected rats, mice rabbits. In present study, prevalence CAR infection histological trachea veal calf adult cattle were investigated. Forty five healthy calves 45 cattle, raised 18 different herds selected at slaughter. From each animal, tracheal sample was processed for histology, stain-ed Warthin-Starry method to evaluate presence bacillus, haematoxylin eosin lesions. identified 17 (37.7%) 7 (15.5%). Inflammatory found 42 (93.3%) 41 (91.1%). Statistical analysis pointed out significant correlation between number bacilli lymphoid follicles (P = 0.0071) severity neutrophilic infiltrates 0.0428). These results indicate common correlated
