摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure comprise carbon steels and methods manufacturing pipes having a wall thickness greater than or equal to about 8 mm less 35 there from. In one embodiment, steel composition is provided that yields an average austenite grain size 15 µm. Based upon this composition, quenching sequence has been determined provides microstructure 60% by volume, 40% volume lower bainite, without substantial formation ferrite, upper granular bainite. After quenching, pipe may be subjected tempering. The yield strength quenched tempered 550 MPa (80 ksi) 625 (90 mechanical property measurements find suitable for grade grade.
