摘要: This chapter discusses various methods for defining and measuring radical stability, including the familiar stabilization energy (RSE), along with some lesser-known alternatives, explains difference between stability persistence. A large compilation of RSEs carbon-centered radicals is presented used to illustrate principal structure–reactivity trends. Other key properties other reagents in free-radical polymerization reactions, polarity, steric effects, bond strengths, are also defined discussed. Finally, it shown how these factors combine determine kinetics thermodynamics reactions both conventional controlled processes.
