摘要: Climbing coconut trees is an important activity in rural agricultural wage workers. Generally, skilled workers are employed to collect the coconuts from tree. Agricultural for tree climbing suffer musculoskeletal disorders than any other type of injury or illness. The developed device (T1) was evaluated based on ergonomical parameters and ergo refinements were carried out. inclination upper frame increased with respect horizontal, while moving towards top As a result, centre gravity user moves outside body making him feel insecure unstable. suitably modified avoid downward such that refined (T2) improves safety ease operation. enhanced comfort male subjects 7.8, 12.2, 10.7 20.5% reduction heart rate, energy expenditure, overall discomfort rating part score, respectively 2.6 4.1% increase operation when compared T1. resulted 20.6% savings cost 11.8% time harvesting T1 model. Key words: Coconut tree, device, ergo-refinements.
