摘要: Rapid, nondestructive methods are needed to quantify plant biomass dynamics. Methods known as dimension analysis can be used establish regression relationships between and easily obtained measurements. Regression analyses were estimate the dry weight of foliage, living dead stems roots from canopy area volume for eight desert shrubs. The results show that generally suitable estimators. equations developed Larrea tridentata compare favorably with in similar studies Arizona Nevada, suggesting our might applicable other regions, at least shrubs well-defined growth forms. Other considerations when using these techniques discussed.
