Up to date, nobody has studied the helminths of this endemic Mammal. Therefore, order describe gastro-intestinal helminths, tract 29 hares, coming from (#14) Sicily (#15) were collected between 1997 2009. Twentyfive hares positive for at least one parasite (86 %). Six isolated, 2 cestodes (Cittotaenia pectinata, prevalence 3 %) Paranoplocephala sp., 4 nematodes (Trichostrongylus retortaeformis, 86 %, Graphidium strigosum, 14 Trichuris 10 % Teladorsagia circumcincta, 7 Both circumcincta trifurcata morphotypes identified.
