摘要: Abstract Estimating population size and understanding its variation is a fundamental, yet complicated, aim of many ecological studies. We considered the problem estimating spring autumn abundance, size-dependent structure sex-ratio endemic Balearic Lizard, Podarcis lilfordi from three occasions capture-recapture study. used Bayesian formulation individual covariate models to incorporate sex, trap-response. first set simulated data with medium-to-low probability recapture heterogeneity evaluate potential problems in model fitting selection. Results indicated low performance parameter estimation selection when detection was (0.15–0.30). found negative permanent trap response positive effect on survey but not one. The estimated mean densities varied about 800 1000 lizards ha−1, high value comparing mainland lizard populations. observed increase abundance probably due drop territorial behaviour immigration females into area sampled. As consequence, changed nearly even June (mean posterior, 95%CRI; 0.928, 0.676–1.167) female-skewed October (0.612, 0.478–0.772).
