摘要: A layered-abduction model of perception is presented which unifies bottom-up and top-down processing in a single logical information-processing framework. The process interpreting the input from each sense broken down into discrete layers interpretation, where at layer best explanation hypothesis formed data by or below, with help information available laterally above. formation this treated as problem abductive inference, similar to diagnosis theory formation. Thus brings knowledge-based problem-solving approach analysis perception, treating kind compiled cognition. passing defines channels flow, separate converge specific way for any modality. Multi-modal occurs more than one sense. This has not yet been implemented, though it based on systems have successful medical mechanical test interpretation.
