摘要: There is preliminary evidence, from case reports and investigational studies, to suggest that Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) could be used treat some patients with Anorexia Nervosa (AN). Although this research at an early stage, the invasive nature of intervention vulnerability potential are such anticipatory ethical analysis warranted. In paper, we first show how different treatment mechanisms raise philosophical questions. We distinguish three alluded in neuroscientific literature, relating desire, control, emotion, respectively. explain why precise mechanism has important implications for patient’s autonomy personal identity. second part consider practical dimensions offering DBS AN certain cases. discuss limited circumstances where mere might perceived as exerting a degree coercive pressure serve undermine validity consent. Finally, effects authenticity choice continue using stimulation ameliorate their condition.
