摘要: Sewers are aging, expensive assets that attract public attention only when they fail. Sewer operators under increasing pressure to minimise their maintenance costs, while preventing sewer failures. Inspection can give early warning of failures and allow economical repair noncrisis conditions. Current inspection techniques subjective detect gross defects reliably. They cannot provide the data needed confidently plan long-term maintenance. This paper describes PIRAT, a quantitative technique for inspection.PIRAT measures internal geometry then analyses these detect, classify, rate automatically using artificial intelligence techniques. We describe measuring system present discuss results different types sewers. The defect analysis outlined sample report presented. PIRAT’s reports compared with from conventional discrepancies discussed. r...
