摘要: Eucalyptus plantations represent a short term and cost efficient alternative for sequestrating carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Despite known potential of forest fast growing species to store in biomass, there are relatively few studies including precise estimates amount these plantations. In this study it was determined content stems, branches, leaves roots clonal grandis plantation Southeast Brazil. We developed allometric equations estimate total produced an stock stand level. Altogether, 23 sample trees were selected aboveground biomass assessment. The 9 sampled partially excavated assess belowground at single- tree Two models with DBH, H DBH 2 tested. average relative share stem, branch, leaf root compartments 44.6%, 43.0%, 46.1% 37.8%, respectively, which is smaller than generic value commonly used (50%). best-fit had as independent variable. root-to-shoot ratio stable (C.V. = 27.5%) probably because sub-sample composed clones.
