摘要: The Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) technology has significant advantages over conventional Drill & Blast method, and it become one of the most common tunnel excavation methods in world. However, weaknesses TBM such as poor adaptability to complex geological conditions create a bottleneck its functionality, restrict further development. Therefore, factors engineering conditions, construction schedule, cost, environmental impact other multi-disciplinary influences should be well considered selection. This paper presents capabilities, limitations challenges method by study various case projects, proposes effective countermeasures towards bad conditions. results this research are helpful for improving working efficiency ensuring smooth safe construction.
