摘要: Purpose: The use of electronic health records (EHRs) by physicians during the consultation is common and can be problematic. Factors influencing EHRs clinical encounters include physician patient characteristics, type as well spatial organization room EHR template. Their relative importance however not known. This study aimed to explore what extent several physician, factors were associated with first 10 minutes primary care consultations. Methods: We examined 17 residents in 142 videotaped consultations at Primary Care Division Geneva University Hospitals, Switzerland. conducted univariable multivariable analyses patient, variables predict use: sex age patient; physician’s sex, age, postgraduate experience EHR-use selfperception; language, (new/follow-up) content using Roter interaction analysis system (RIAS), main variable being percentage utterances relation minutes. Results: Male (residents) those less conducting a new or addressing biomedical positively correlated (+5.3% for male physicians, P=0.101; +0.6% per year experience, P=0.021; +6.0% consultation, P=0.097; +0.4% 1% increase; P=0.018). Conclusion: Only small number appear have an impact on consultations, this remains modest. Given influence physician–patient relationship, further research should other are implicated whether they changed improved. Keywords: computer use, care, predicting factors, record
