摘要: The growth hormone of neonatal facial cartilage from ICR mice is inhibited by glucocorticoid treatment in vitro. A reduction the overall tissue weight accompanied a substantial decrease protein content tissue. For first 48 h culture, hormone-treated undergoes complete standstill gain, and only thereafter increases, yet markedly smaller than that control specimens. Further, significant DNA seen already 24 h, feature intensifies h. slight recovery takes place thereafter. concentration [3H]thymidine incorporation acid-insoluble material. inhibition synthesis triamcinolone acetonide protein- RNA-synthesis-dependent. Autoradiographic examinations reveal young cells are heavily labelled with [3H]dexamethasone this labelling specific. To further substantiate involvement glucocorticoid-specific receptors latter's inhibitory effects, tissues were treated cortexolone, apparently 'masking' cytosolic for glucocorticoids, thereby succeeded to eliminate growth-inhibitory effect triamcinolone. These results provide evidence receptor-mediated set responses glucocorticoids these cells.
