摘要: STUDY DESIGN The expression of HOXB13 and HOXA9 proteins was detected. OBJECTIVE purpose this study to investigate the molecular signature spinal ependymoma (EPN) astrocytoma, 2 most common types intramedullary tumor. SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA Intramedullary tumor is unusual. It leads high neurological morbidity mortality without treatment. Till now, its feature has been elucidated up a little extent. METHODS A total 37 cases EPN, including 12 myxopapillary EPNs (MEPNs), 18 classic EPNs, 7 anaplastic another astrocytoma were selected for study. Immunohistochemical analysis large cohort patients providing clinical samples performed compare not only between EPN but also among all 3 World Health Organization grades EPN. RESULTS results showed that selectively expressed in instead astrocytoma. Furthermore, we found strongest positive response MEPN whereas ubiquitously detected subgroups CONCLUSION Both specificity sensitivity indicated might be diagnostic marker distinguish from other promising therapeutic target MEPN. strong immunoreactivity suggested an indispensable role progression further research on function will provide new clues development treatment options. LEVEL EVIDENCE N /A.
