摘要: Objectives: To predict the role of different clinical and biochemical parameters in identifying nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) Abha city, southwestern Saudi Arabia. Methods: A stratified random sample was selected. detailed examinations were performed. Using portable abdominal ultrasound examination, NAFLD identified. The study used receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis. Results: covered 237 T2DM patients. detected 174 Area under curve (AUC) calculations showed that ability age, duration DM years, body mass index to poor (AUC < 0.6). Similarly, factors like HbA1c%, AST, cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, VLDL discriminating between those without T2DM. On other hand, ALT good = 0.701, 95% CI: 0.637–0.761). analysis identified optimal cutoff point be ≤22.1 nmol/L. corresponding sensitivity 60.7% (95% 53.0–68.0) specificity 62.5% 49.5–74.3). Conclusions: Early identification is important. threshold value 22.1 nmol/L has been NAFLD. They should referred for examination
