摘要: Arenaviruses have unique structural characteristics; they are pleomorphic, a mean diameter of 110-130 nm, and consist membranous envelope with surface projections surrounding an interior containing ribosomes filaments. Virus particles bud from plasma membranes infected cells in many cases large intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies formed. These characteristics allow generic identification, but not differentiation individual viruses. Ultrastructural identification virus pathological processes tissues man experimental animals is important understanding the nature arenaviral pathogenesis Such also contributes to our mechanisms viral shedding transmission reservoir host species.
