摘要: We combine inferred galaxy properties from a semi-analytic evolution model incorporating dark matter halo merger trees with new estimates of supernova and gamma ray burst rates as function metallicity stellar population synthesis models binary interactions. use these to explore the mass fraction galaxies irradiated by energetic astrophysical transients its over cosmic time, thus which is potentially habitable life like our own. find that 18 per cent in Universe likely have been within last 260 Myr, GRBs dominating fraction. do not see strong dependence on or richness environment. consider representative tree Local Group analogue, there are at all masses retained high (>40 cent) 6 Gyr, but also where history associated star formation rendered effectively uninhabitable. This illustrates need detailed when evaluating habitability.
