摘要: Retrospective and prospective chart review was conducted to study patient callbacks the emergency department (ED) based on plain radiograph interpretation discrepancies between radiologists physicians before after a continuous quality improvement (CQI) intervention. Patients who were called back ED because of retrospectively studied. These results reviewed by CQI team, which recommended greater communication consultation. A then performed. Before intervention, 0.7% patients recalled; 0.4% required recall assurance, reduction 42.9% (P = .0001). Emergency in this had low percentage due radiologic interpretation. further reduced percentage. The proficiency interpreting radiographs validates current practice rendering treatment their interpretations supports notion billing for service.
