摘要: The results of a questionnaire answered by 205 medical patients are reported (100 with cancer and 105 other conditions). examined beliefs preferences regarding various aspects cancer, including expectations management treatment. issues relate to about information giving, trust doctors' control decision making, help, treatment, the treatment pain morphine use, terminal care. Some appear hold inconsistent that doctors should tell them all they want know, but do not know lot what would like be told. They were also ambivalent who make decisions, patient or doctor, suggesting preference for collaborative consensus making. It may important inform more clearly can cannot reasonably expected do. incorrect related fear having cancer. suggest need better communication between their professional carers accessible health available general public.
