Fiber optical Bragg grating refractometer

摘要: We have demonstrated an evanescent field refractive index fiber sensor comprising a 42-mm Bragg grating in etched together with tunable Distributed Reflector (DBR) laser. Characterization of different aqueous sucrose solutions resulted resolution roughly 10 mM sucrose. The the presented form has theoretical sensitivity higher than -5 unit (riu) region close to cladding fiber. However, technique allows for even -6 riu proper signal processing scheme.
